Renegade Game Studios announces the ESSENCE20 TTRPG system for Power Rangers Transformers and Gi Joe Games

Renegade Game Studios has revealed the game engine used to bring the worlds of Guardabosques, _Transformers and gi Joe to life. With Renegadecon Virtual Special Edition about to launch today, Renegade Game Studio gave the players a first look at the new ESSEnce20 role play system that will be used in its next line of Games with Hasbro real estate. While each game that uses the ESSENCE20 system will have its own peculiarities, the central engine is the same, so learning the system will allow you to jump quickly to any game that uses it.

ESSENCE20 is a D20-based system, which means that players throw a die of twenty-sided to determine successes and failures. Whenever the players do a test, they pull two dice: the D20 and a given skill that varies in size from a D2 to a D20. The combined total of those two dice must overcome the difficulty of the test to be successful. There are a couple of nuances in the system that make the checks a little more intriguing. For example, if a character specializes in a skill, he throws the skill of her and all the smaller dice when doing a test. Next, choose what result of the roll will add to your D20 roll. In addition, a maximum value roll in any given is counted as a critical success, which means that having a D4 or a D2 for a skill can be a blessing for the players.

The creation of characters is divided into three parts: Players choose their origin, their role in the team and its influence. The characters have four key statistics: strength, speed, intelligence and social.

The ESSEnce20 system will be used in the upcoming Power Rangers role, Transformers role game, _ and GI-Joe_ role game. No launch dates have been announced or prices for any of the Games.
