In the high-performance cloud environment held by private sectors, we will establish a large-scale test bed for the commercial cloud service environment by establishing domestic AI semiconductor farms. This is to establish an objective competitive environment with foreign semiconductors in commercialized AI services to support the rapid application market adaptability.

Third, the government comes out and serves as an initial demand market. AI semiconductors made with domestic technology in the national ICT R & D projects and information businesses are also provided as another alternative. It is intended to provide opportunities to be able to compete and use without discrimination with foreign semiconductor standards in public systems such as intelligent CCTV construction and smart cities.

Fourth, it supports the development of AI semiconductor system SW and AI voucher projects that are customized for the use of various AI services. In particular, AI semiconductors are required to support the SW environment such as compilers and libraries optimized for performance while maintaining compatibility with SW developed as a foreign platform according to the AI service type. This is a relatively poor part of domestic small and medium-sized system semiconductor, and system semiconductor companies will have the opportunity to secure commercialization technology for various application services.

The hegemony competition for the global semiconductor industry is accelerating day by day. Political conflict between the US and China is also for industrial hegemony, such as semiconductors. In this situation, Korea’s strategy is to have a ‘urgent technology’ that no one can see, and that is the AI semiconductor. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare a bridgehead for domestic AI semiconductor technology to root out the market quickly, and to provide a fair competition with the foreign semiconductor platform. If the domestic AI semiconductor market and demand market are dynamically activated, the development and investment capacity of domestic small and medium-sized semiconductor companies will increase, and the influx of overseas talented people leaked in the meantime can also be expected.
