Tribute to Hagrid in Hogwarts Legacy: Everything We Know
If there is something that must be recognized about Hogwarts Legacy, it is that the level of detail applied to the design of the Hogwarts and Hogsmeade Castle is absolutely impressive.
So much so that it is impossible, even after fifty hours of play, be sure to have found all the Easter Eggs and other references that remain here and there.
But why do everyone think that a tribute to Robbie Coltrane, the actor who played Hagrid on the big screen, is in the game?
Is there a tribute to Hagrid in the game?
If you are a fan of the Harry Potter saga, you will surely know that Robbie Coltrane, the actor who performed on the screen to the most beloved giant of all time, died last year at the age of 72.
Many other actors had then shared their emotions on social networks and some Potter heads even think that the team behind Hogwarts Legacy, then learned of their death in full development of the game, wanted to pay tribute in the game.
In fact, behind the Cabana of the caregiver in Hogwarts, it is possible to find a tomb adorned with a hypocrisy.
It could be just a wink to the prisoner of Azkaban, with the death of Buck beak, but also a tribute to Hagrid who worshiped this creature more than anything in the world.
If you are looking to find this possible tribute in the game, you must take the teleport point from the southern exit of Hogwarts and walk along the way to the cabin (see the video below).
Notice that if we talk about Hagrid’s cabin it is simply because the building looks like two drops of water to what will be, a hundred years later, the giant medium house.
You will also find inside a field guide page that shows the tools of the school guardian.
Other tributes also present?
The temporality of the facts (Death of Robbie Coltrane in 2022) could also explain why this tribute to Hagrid is the most visible within the game, but it is not known for sure.
Perhaps other actors such as Alan Hickman (Severus Shape), Helen McCrory (Narcissa Malfoy), Richard Griffiths (Uncle Vernon) or Richard Harris (the first Dumbledore on screen) have also had the right to receive those winks in the game?
Regarding Leslie Philippe, for example, the one made by the voice of the English hat, the mere presence of this magical object in Hogwarts Legacy could comfort the fans.
Avalanche Software developers have not confirmed whether there are those taxes or tributes to the deceased actors within the game, but it is very likely that there are if we value the numerous inspired by the books and films they have had to design the castle
of Hogwarts.
Taking care of any type of detail
As a reminder, even if they are true, these are only winks, since the Hogwarts Legacy stage takes place a hundred years before the adventures of Harry Potter.
These are only references of fans such as the Multitudes potion cauldron in the second floor girls’ bathroom reminiscent of Hermione Granger or the statue of the werewolf reminiscent of Remus Lupin.
And you, have you found other references and tributes in the game?
